Michigan Furniture Manufacturing is proud to carry on the tradition of building the highest quality solid wood furniture that has pleased many generations for over 20 years.
How it all began...
In 1983, Master Cabinetmaker, Nicholas Dionise began creating New-England and Shaker style reproductions as a hobby in the basement of his home. As word got out of his incredible craftmanship and attention to detail, a business was born. Nicholas Cabinetmaking soon grew and a complete line of furniture was developed. Nicholas Cabinetmaking continued to grow and employed some of the best furniture craftsmen in the country. Nicholas Cabinetmaking moved several times over the next 24 years, to a bigger and better facility. Nick maintained a very close eye on each and every craftsman and piece of furniture that left his facility. Thousands of pieces of furniture have been produced by the skilled craftsmen that Nick has assembled.
Where are we now?
In 2007, Nick sold the business to Michigan Furniture Manufacturing Inc. Nick's son Mike is our shop foreman, and all production is under his direction. Mike maintains the high level of quality that his father started. We still use all of the original patterns and jigs that Nick created. Michigan Furniture Manufacturing has increased the number of available finishes and made minor changes by upgrading some equipment to maintain high levels of precision. Michigan Furniture Manufacturing has also changed product distribution, allowing the end consumer to purchase factory direct. This gives the customer the highest quality product at the lowest possible price. We look forward to building heirloom quality furniture for you.
Our Pledge...
You will receive the exact piece of furniture you order in the finish you want, in a timely manner. You will be impressed by our attention to detail and our sturdy craftsmanship. We will make sure you are delighted with each and everything you order.
